Good evening, thanks!
Informed that the market in Africa wants more sisal.
Know Asembo can produce sisal and that good plants are available.
Dala Rieko has planted along fences.
More than 100 suckers planted with farmer Job Ang'ano in Papotere and
other places.
Thinking that Dala Rieko could assist in farmers industry by buying a
small machine for brushing, run on electricity....
Bruce Cameron has brought info about machines of different sizes, for
sale, developed w University of Nairobi and by National Board...
Friend Maurice Langu has the biggest knowledge abt growing and
marketing sisal... And Charles Oraha brought the good sisal for Dala
Rieko first planting.
Attached photos:
Sisal leaves, from first pruning of young plants, put out for drying
along line of local Aloe Vera along chanal in Dala Rieko Park. The
work headed by Job and Collins and done by Dala Rieko Learners.
All the best, regards tsr

1
Ellinor and I, still in Norway, planning and preparing to be in Asembo
again from 23rd Sep.
2
Seeing that sisal needs little rain and works very well in soil conservation projects.
