  • Tissue culture bananas
  • Sisal, aloe vera, moringa, jatropha
  • Food crops and vegetables for balanced diet
  • Trees for fruits, trees for health, trees for shade, trees for timber
  • Fish farming, integrated farming, wetland farming
  • Permanent planting holes, compost manure, achandra, chuodho
  • Drip irrigation
  • Solar pumping of water
  • Solar electricity for light, computers, incubator
  • Mobile solar lamps for domestic use … “a kerosene-free Kenya”
  • Ecosan toilet
  • Dala Rieko bread and drinking water

Dala Rieko is a meeting place for sharing of knowledge and good practice, in Asembo at Lake Victoria.

On daily basis we do work on food production for food security and balanced diet, organic farming, soil conservation, meeting appropriate technology needs, forest lots development, work with individuals and families / groups to improve their incomes through IGAs, savings and credit.
